Walter Black, CEO of WBRO

Description

At long last, the third of the great corporate rulers, the newest additions to the ranks of Dras Von Talon and Kaze Mizuki: The impregnable CEO of the WBRO, :iconcrimson43: 's Walter Black, the Iron King of the North!

Whereas Dras Von Talon's Syndicate specializes in wealth and resource control, and Kaze Mizuki's Amaterasu specializes in controlling the politics and minds of the population, the WBRO's specialty lies in complete dominance over the field of mechanical and cybernetic technology. Their headquarters locked away within the frozen mountains of the North, the WBRO is an impassable fortress, holding off all who would dare to attack them. Creating war machines without equal is their forte, but there is no greater engine of devastation than their CEO himself.

His body fatally damaged in the industrial disaster that lead to the death of the former CEO, Walter Black is now more of a machine than a man. And even then, he is less of a machine, than a cold-blooded weapon of mass destruction.

Don't be fooled by appearances. That overcoat of his, the sign of his rank as a CEO? It's nothing more than a god-damned WEAPONS PLATFORM disguised to look like a coat.

First off, the arms. Despite their looks, those 'sleeves' are actually armor plated recesses, each housing a full-length, high power Gatling Gun (we're talking the REAL DEAL here, not just some minigun knock off). Believe me, at a firing rate of over three thousand rounds a minute, these bastards will cut CLEAN through a building faster than any blade will, and considering they can switch to Armor-Piercing, Explosive, and Incendiary rounds as well, these are the absolute LAST WORD in heavy machine guns. The joint connecting them to the shoulder has a full range of movement, 360 degrees in almost every direction, and have a reaction time of a split second. Thanks to Walter's advanced radar and targeting systems, he doesn't even need to be looking in the target's direction. His sensors will lock in and the Gats will deal with the rest.

Now because of their length, you'd think that once you got inside the length of the Gatling's you'd be safe, as Walter can't hit the ground right in front of him with a gun that long. You'd be wrong. See the circular, glassy looking orbs atop the shoulder end of the sleeve? That my friend would be the focusing lens for a 60 THOUSAND terawatt laser.

And he's got TWO of them.

They've got Plasma, Thermal and High Intensity modes of fire as well, so even if you bring in armor, they'll melt/cut/ blast right through it like it was paper. And don't expect energy shielding to help much either. It WILL help, but not enough to matter.

THOSE babies have got range right up to a inch in front of Walter's...well, he doesn't exactly HAVE a nose, but you get the idea. Their firing rat is WAY slower than the Gats, though, so you can at least dodge them from a distance.

Next up, his shoulders. Yes, those ARE weapon pods. They're capable of two offensive capabilities. First, there's the heavy duty missiles. Armed with advanced lock-on systems, you'd best PRAY they explode before they get to you otherwise there's NO way you're dodging them. Like every other one of Walter's weapons, they've got alternate attack modes, in this case, Napalm, Anti-Vehicle or Anti-Air. The second offensive ability of these shoulder weapons is that they can deploy a number of seeker drones, all of which will fly out and pursue the target, raining down a barrage of laser-fire. They don't last too long, and they're pretty weak, but when you're dealing with six or seven of them, they'll quickly become a major problem. These are usually used when Walter's prey has gone to ground, hiding behind cover to catch its breath and recover. These little buggers'll put a stop to that REEAL fast, forcing the target out into the open, where Walter's heavy artillery can obliterate them.

Finally, there's the main part of the cape itself. Notice the thick, bulky armored lower hem? Yeah, that's not just for aesthetics. All Walter has to do is whip his cape upwards, so that the bottom of that hem is pointing towards his target, and the twenty missile launchers built into it will do the rest. These only have one mode of fire but with what they are capable of, they don't NEED another mode. Each missile will upon approaching the target, or after a certain range, separate, each one of them breaking apart to launch about twenty more, miniaturized warheads, turning a twenty-missile salvo into a deadly swarm of FOUR HUNDRED MICRO-MISSILES. That ALONE is capable of carpet bombing a WHOLE lot of real estate.

Most of the time, he doesn't even bother with a weapon lock. The huge area damage sort of makes it unnecessary.

And finally, even though you can't see it, he's got grenade launchers built into his wrists.

Yes, he has thought of EVERYTHING.

Now, for the downsides. That body of his? Fully metallic. Even the business suit he wears is nothing more than a custom made armor designed to LOOK like a business suit. Combine that with his titanium coat/weapons platform, and you have got one HEAVY sonofabitch. Therefore, he's basically a moving FORTRESS. "Nothing short of a NUKE is going to crack that armor, and one punch from him will split a skyscraper in two, but his movement speed is...not great. And so, he's made mods to get around that. See the treads under his boots? Tank treads. He doesn't actually walk anywhere. He just lets those treads do the moving for him. So he can still get up to a fairly decent movement speed that way. But in serious combat against opponents like the Division, that isn't going to be nearly enough.

See the segments in his cape? Concealed boosters in each one. THAT'll get him up to fighting speed, sending him skidding around the battlefield at the speed of a normal armored vehicle. Nowhere NEAR close to the speed of his enemies, or the other CEOs, but fast enough to disable any serious disadvantages.

And let's face it, what he lacks in speed, Walter Black MORE than makes up for in sheer overwhelming firepower.

In SPADES.

Walter Black's strength is that of war itself. Armies will fall, cities will crumble, and continents will tremble at the sound of his mechanical steps.

He is not an enemy to be taken lightly. The armor-clad Iron King, his title is well deserved, and his fearsome reputation even more so.

All who oppose him shall be crushed in his stainless steel grip, and all who stand in his way shall be reduced to dust before his impossible military might.

Wow. Just WOOOW. For two reasons, really:

1. I stumble upon this by looking up "CEO Amaterasu," a unit in Cardfight!! Vanguard; listening to www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2jRqE... .

2. That description makes something that looks so simple very complex.

Overall character design looks nice (albeit knowing that this isn't really your character :P), but I gotta ask you some things about it:

1. If he's really all machine (which obviously means he's pretty strong and heavy) with a few added knick-knacks here-and-there (mainly his overcoat of mass destruction), would he be so heavy he'd sink and well... "drown" if there was a given situation that he would be in the water?

2. That "hair" throws me off. It looks like Phoenix Wright's hair. :P Does it do anything special too???
